MARTIN, Reginald Ernest - 89, Paradise, Annapolis Co., died March 26, 1997, in Soldiers Memorial Hospital, Middleton. Born in Kempt, Queens Co., he was a son of the late George Thomas and Adelia May (Spears) Martin. He was a veteran of the Second World War, serving with the Forestry Division. He worked for a number of years in forestry and on the highways. He retired as a commissionaire with National Defence. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a past member of Timberlea United Baptist Church and a member of Paradise United Baptist Church. Surviving are sons, Melvin, Kingston; Allen, Clementsport; Ernest, Annapolis; daughter, Carol Ann (Mrs. Dave MacLean), Nictaux Falls; sister, Viola Mosher, Caledonia, Queens Co.; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Clara Ritcey; brother, Everett; sisters, Roxie, Alice; son, Dennis; a daughter in infancy. Visitation 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today, 7-9 p.m. Friday in Robert L. Hall Funeral Home, Bridgetown. Funeral 2 p.m. Saturday in Paradise United Baptist Church, Rev. John McFee officiating. Burial in Paradise Cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations to DVA bus fund at Soldiers Memorial Hospital.
