Remedios Mercado Bacosa

Remedios Atienza Mercado is the only girl among 5 siblings. She was a military nurse and served during WWII for the USAFFE. She studied Nursing at San Juan de Dios Hospital with the degree of Gen. Nursing, then located at Intramuros in the year 1939 and passed the Nursing Board Exams in the same year. She finished her BSN at the UST year 1958. She was a Head Nurse/Supervisor at the Veterans Memorial Hospital in Quezon City till her time of death on February 4,1959. She died with CA of the breast.
