René Angélil, CM, OQ (born January 16, 1942) was a Canadian singer and manager. He was the husband and manager of singer Celine Dion.

Angélil was born in Montreal, Québec, Canada, of a father of Syrian descent and a Canadian mother of Lebanese origin. He is Melkite Catholic and studied at College Saint-Viateur (high school), in Outremont and at College André-Grasset (post secondary), in Montreal.

René Angelil was born on January 16, 1942 in Montréal, Québec, Canada. He was an actor and writer, known for Omertà (2012), Celine: Through the Eyes of the World (2010) and L'apparition (1972).
