Born and lived at 9 Hilda Road, East Ham, London E6 1DB until bombed out, WW2 ( an UXB fell on their shelter) when they moved to 143 Braemore Road, Goodmayes, London IG3 9LU. Then she joined Land Army and lived and worked at Eden Farm in Hatfield Heath, where she met her husband whilst on her pony and trap milk round, After marrying in 1944, lived first with in-laws at Bonnyvale,(since renamed Readings House)Sheering Back Lane, Nr Bishop's Stortford, Herts, until building house opposite called" Little Acre", completed 1947.
