As explained in my Elizabeth West's profile, she was the central figure in a book titled "The Prospering," (1967, Boston: Houghton Mifflin Company) by Elizabeth George Speare. It's the story of the Williams and Sergeant families in Stockbridge, Massachusetts, from 1737-1784. The narrative voice in Speare's book is that of Elizabeth Williams (1731-1804), from the time she is a girl of six years old, arriving in a near wilderness, to when she is 51, having long since married Rev. Dr. Stephen West (1736-1819).
