About Rev. Ewart M. Talley
Rev. Ewart M Talley, 70, a retired Methodist minister died Oct 3, 1969 at Riverview Hospital, Noblesville, In He was born May 6, 1899 in Putnam Co., Ohio, to Benjamin and Grace Moffitt Talley, when a small child the family moved to Clinton, Ill. The deceased served the North Indiana Conference as a minister for 38 years and upon retirementb became the Minister of Visitation at the Carmel United Methodist Church, a position he held at the time of his death. He served Church at South Whitley, Gaston Anderson Park Place, Mishawaka East, Market St. Logansport, First Church of Portland, First Church of Elwood and the Sheridan Church. Lived in Hamilton Co since 1964 and also prior to 1926, was a member of the Noblesville Masonic Lodge No. 57 and the Scottish Rite, Ft. Wayne Valley. He was also active in God and Country Scout work. In 1921, he married Alberta Essington who Survives. Also surviving are two sons, Ewart, Jr., of Kokomo; James M. of Noblesville; 6 grandchildren; a brother, Alton of Daleville and two nephews.
