Digitisation of the Dall book

"John Wesley Dall's second son Robert Dall {Australian Immigrant} was born at Houghton, Lancashire on 9-8-1813 and he grew up in Roach Mill near Preston. He was forth generation Methodist and naturally he too followed in the 'footsteps' of his ancestors.

On the 1st of September 1840, he married Sarah Ann Burgess (Perks) {Australian Immigrant}, daughter of William Perks of Birmingham, in St. Peters and St. Pauls Church of England Cathedral in the parish of Aston.
... By 1851 he was starting to get 'itchy feet' having heard about the possibilities that existed in some of the new overseas countries and so it was on that cold winter's January morning with snow falling, that John Wesley Dall, his wife Sarah Ann Burgess (Perks) {Australian Immigrant} and their six young [children]..."
