About (Reverend Bishop) Jonas Hershey Martin

Jonas H. Martin, the fifth Bishop of the [Weaverland-Groffdale] District was chosen minister at Weaverland, December 7, 1875, and on May 31, 1881, he was ordained as assistant bishop during the lifetime of Bishop George Weaver. He served the united congregations as bishop for ten years, when in Fall of 1893, he became the head of the Weaverland Conferencem which position he held until the time of his death." - from M. G.
