(Edinburgh, 23rd July 1803) ; died 6th Dec. 1842. He marr.

(1) 5th Dec. 1786, Elizabeth (died 14th Dec. 1791), daugh. of Robert Dinwiddie, Germiston, and had issue —

  • William of Milton Lockhart, M.P. for Lanarkshire, born 28th Sept. 1787, died s.p. 25th Nov. 1856;
  • Robert Dinwiddie, born 20th Sept. 1789, died 14th Jan. 1797;
  • John, born 6th March 1791, died 19th April 1792
