About Reverend George Murrell Mackey
My father was a rather very quiet spoken person. After he got to know you, he would "come of of his shell"...so to speak. His laugh was vociferous and friendly.
Dad was a very observant human being. He listened, watched and studied people, places and things.
He played the organ and would sing alot of church hymns. He was a farmer and would graciously share his harvest with neighbors, etc.
My father built our house of Dry Lake Road in Dixie, Georgia. He was a person of many, many talents. He also dug the well from which we got cold, cold water!!
