Reverend Lewis Benton Bates, D.D.

Rev. Lewis Benton Bates, D.D. Son of Rev. Lewis Bates, well known Methodist Minister throughout New England. Grandson of Lt. Levi Bates who moved to Springfield Vt. after the Revolutionary War Married June 12, 1850 to Louisa Field and had 5 children. John Lewis Bates was the third child.
