JOHN DUNLOP, born 1617, son of John D., min. of Ratho ; educated at Univ. of Glasgow ; M.A. (1636) ; licen. by Presb. of Dalkeith 24th Oct. 1639; adm. 13th Oct. 1642; died 29th May 1648. He marr. 14th Sept. 1643, Elizabeth, daugh. of Alexander Barbour, writer, Edinburgh, and had issue — John ; Alexander, apprenticed 17th Dec. 1662, to George Meyne, merchant, Edinburgh.
