Biographical Summary
"Thomas Kilcardy, c. 18 January, 1620, and was named as heir substitute to his brother Robert in the lands of Grange on 26 February, 1631. With his sister Elizabeth Kirkcaldy, he entered into a Bond with John, Earl of Crawford and Lindsay, on 15 February 1668, in which they are styled as children of the deceased William Kirkcaldy of Grange, and Thomas a Minister. He was appointed Minister of Tranent then Lanark, m. Elizabeth Birnie."

15 February 1668: Extract bond by John, Earl of Craufurd and Lindsay, and William, Lord Lindsay, to Elizabeth Kirkaldie, daughter of deceased William Kirkaldie of Grange, and Mr Thomas Kirkaldie, minister, her brother, dated 15 February 1668 and registered B of C and S, 27 July 1671, and 3 documents following thereon. Persons later concerned are: Thomas Kirkcaldie, eldest son of said Mr Thomas, now deceased, 1688-1718. Mr James Douglas of Earnslau, Writer to the Privy Seal, 1688-1689.
