Reverend the Hon. Lewis William Denman

Rev Hon Lewis William Denman (b. 23 Mar 1821; d. 6 May 1907), was the son of Thomas Denman, 1st Brt. and Theodosia Anne Denman.

He married:

• (1) 16 Jun 1850 Frances Marianne Eden (d. 25 Apr 1862), dau. of Thomas Eden, of The Bryn, near Swansea, co. Glamorgan, Secretary to the Governor of Ceylon, by his wife Frances Eliza Rodney, dau. of Hon John Rodney.
• (2) 22 Aug 1865 Frances Starkie Mary Armytage (dsp. 24 Dec 1893), 1st dau. of Col Henry Armytage, by his first wife Charlotte Starkie, dau. of Legendre Starkey, of Huntroyd, co. Lancaster, and had issue by his first wife.

4. Hon Margaret Denman (b. 8 Aug 1815; d. 11 Jun 1899), mar. (1) 23 Nov 1841 Henry William Macauley (d. 24 Sep 1845), brother of Lord Macauley, (2) 10 Aug 1848 Edward Cropper, of Swaylands, co. Kent (d. 23 May 1877), and (3) 22 Apr 1879 Col John Owen (d. 2 Dec 1890), 2nd son of Sir Hugh Owen, 2nd Bt., of Orielton, and had issue by her first and second husbands

6. Hon Caroline Amelia Denman (b. 26 Aug 1823; d. 23 May 1911), mar. 3 Feb 1846 Rev John George Beresford, Rector of Bedale, co. York (b. 28 Sep 1821; d. 17 Jul 1899), 3rd son of Admiral Sir John de la Poer Beresford, 1st Bt. KCB GCH MP, by his second wife Harriet Elizabeth Peirse, 3rd dau. of Henry Peirse, of Bedale Hall, co.
