About Rfn. John Wilson
John Wilson born 25 September 1893 was 23 when he left New Zealand shores, one of three brothers that went to WW1 and the only one to die. He was killed in action on 5 April 1918, the same day as his oldest brother set foot back on New Zealand soil. Taxi driver. Next of Kin: Mrs Flora Phipps (formerly Wilson) (mother), Cook Street, Havelock, Marlborough.
