Richard Awbrey

Richard Awbrey, of Llanelyw, whose tombstone, forming part of the pavement of the chancel in the church of Llanelyw, bears this inscription: "Here lyeth the body of Richard Awbrey of Llanelyw, Gent, who married Anne Vaughan, daughter to William Vaughan of Llanelyw, who had issue William Richard, Thomas, John, Theophilus and Elizabeth. Died the 23 day of September 1646." The arms of the Awbrey and Vaughan families are likewise engraved upon the tombstone.
