Richard Elwood Bachman

Richard E. Bachman, 71, of 230 Sand Hill Road, Conestoga, died Monday at St. Joseph Hospital following a brief illness.

He was a retired self-employed painter. Bachman served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

He enjoyed gardening and woodworking.

Born in Upper Leacock Township, he was the son of the late Paul H. and Esther Simmons Bachman.

He was married 48 years to Ruth Kneisley Bachman last September.
