Married 1st Dec. 6 1733, Lydia Spear, born Feb. 5 1712/3; died Apr. 6 1754, ae. 43, (GS), Hancock Cem., Quincy, dau. of Nathaniel & Hannah (Holman) Spear. Married 2nd Feb. 14 1755 at Boston (New North Ch.), Mary Burt, widow of William Burt, born Dec. 16 1728 at Boston; died Sept. 20 1810, ae. 81 at Quincy, dau. of Joseph & Mary (or Mercy) (Hood) Glidden. She married 3rd Dec. 25 1760 (Ch. Rec.) James4 Brackett (Nathan3, James2).

He was elected hogreave 1730, constable 1742 but refused it, surveyor of highways 1747, selectman 1751, 1752, 1756, 57, 1759 but died before Aug. 27th that year when a successor was elected, moderator 1755. He was a partner in the Land Bank 1740.
