About Richard Brockway
Richard Brockway, son of Richard Brockway and Deborah Reed, was b. at Lyme, Conn., about 730; and perhaps it was he who was baptized there (First Church Record) on May 27,1733, and the names of his parents were not recorded. He married with DESIRE MITCHELL, and settled near Brockway's Ferry in Lyme. He d. in Lyme on Jan 15,1812, aged eighty-two years. She was b. about 1731 and died Jan 16, 1814, aged eighty-two years. They were buried in the family cemetery, at Brockway's Ferry, in Lyme. He was called Captain Richard also.
Children were: Mary (c1752; m. Tabor Pratt), Richard (1759), Sarah Mitchell (1768), and Bridget C. (c1771)
