Richard Dante

DANTE, Richard A. Richard Dante, 79, welcomed his new life on Saturday, (October 30, 2010) when he passed away in the loving company of his family. Always a fighter, he battled cancer bravely with humbled dignity. His courageousness began early, serving as a respected Sergeant in the First Cavalry Division during the Korean War. As a young Veteran, he came home and went to work at an automobile service station alongside his father, Achille Dante. Learning his father's trade, Richard opened Twin City Radiator in Hartford. He raised two daughters in Newington. He then married Joan (Kirouac) Dante. During retirement he loved woodworking, gardening, boating and time spent with his wife and family. He leaves his loving wife, Joan Dante, his stepchildren, Nicole and Eric Misko, their children Mika, Stella, and Luka, Kim Cusano with her children, Nicholas, Alexander, and Gabrielle, and Eugene Kirouac. He leaves his daughters, Sheila Nardi, Lynn and her husband Mark Yaglowski, along with his grandchildren, Jennifer Nardi, Brenden Riley, Christopher Nardi, and Alicia Riley.
