1871- is not with Emma who are lodging in St Pancras.

1881 is age 38, a messenger at the Great Seal Office, Court of Chancery. He is at 10 Elesley Road, Battersea with Emma and four children.

1891 is age 48, in the same occupation living in 11 Grandison road, Battersea with wife and the to youngest children.

Emma dies in 1893 and he remarried in Q2 1895 in St George Hanover Square.

1901 is age 55 in the same occupation, with second wife at 6 Mentone Mansions, Kensington.

1911 is age 66, in the same job, living with Sarah in St Moritz church Street, Willington near Eastbourne. They have a servant.

Death was registered in Eastbourne in Q1 1917, age 71. His age suggests birth was 1845/6 but the censuses up to 1901 suggest 1842.
