About Richard Milton Harstad
Richard M. Harstad, 57, Houston, Texas, a former Sioux City resident, died suddenly Wednesday at Houston, Texas. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Graceland Park Cemetery, Sioux City, Iowa
Mr. Harstad was born Nov. 30, 1924, in Sioux City, Iowa.
He graduated from Central High School in 1944. He served in the U. S. Navy during World War II. He graduated from Morningside College. He was in the real estate business in Sioux City before moving to Alexandria, Minnesota in the late 1960s. He moved to Houston in 1976.
Survivors include two sons, Douglas of Benson, Minnesota and Steve of Alexandria, Minnesota; a daughter, Pam of Willmar, Minnesota; a brother, William of Sioux City, Iowa; his mother, Mrs. Florence Harstad of Sioux City, Iowa and a grandson. ~ The Sioux City Journal, July 9, 1983
