About Richard Anthony Niemeyer
http://www.legacy.com/obituaries/dallasmorningnews/obituary.aspx?n=...
Niemeyer, Richard Anthony 01/29/36-11/27/11 Dallas area resident and Property Tax Services employee from the 1970s to the 1990s, Richard enjoyed his time in Texas before returning to his native home of California. Richard died from complications due to recurrent throat cancer on an unseasonably warm day in Eugene, OR, himself in the late fall of his years. His sharp, laugh-out-loud wit was strong as ever through to the end. Richard was soulful and sophisticated. He brought wisdom and humanity to all of his interactions, whether through a simple, wry phrase or by channelling his observations through more philosophical stories of his own. He expressed his sensitive, artistic nature through a lifetime of photography, his love of poetry, his sculptures, oil paintings and other artistic endeavors. Richard is survived by his brother William Niemeyer of Long Beach, CA; his two daughters from his first wife Joyce Niemeyer Warnstaff, Laura Littlefield and Kathryn Lavenne; his grandson, Adria Pujol; his second wife Gwendolyn Wedgwood Niemeyer; and his little dog, too. A memorial service will be held in Santa Cruz, CA on Saturday, January 7th, 2012.
