Richard Matthew Osbourn was the son of Henry Parker "Parker" and Julia Ann (Shercliffe) Osborne. He was baptized at St. Rose Church on Jan. 23, 1866.

THE SPRINGFIELD SUN--RICHARD OSBOURN

Richard Matthew Osbourn, age 69 years, died at his home at Cecilville at 12:15 o'clock Wednesday afternoon, August14, 1935, from a throat infection, his death following an illness of about one year. He was one of the county's most widely known citizensand had been extensively engage in farmin in the Cecilville section for many years.

Mr. Osbourn is survived by his widow, who was Miss Anna Blandford and nine sons: William E. Osbourn, Savanah, Ga.; Thomas W. Osbourn and Richard A. Osbourn, Louisville; Rev. Fr. Cyril S. Osbourn, Somerset, O.; Rev. Matthew L. Osbourn, Wawshington, D. C.; Victor F., J. B., J. H. and Albert Osbourn, this city and William Osbourn, Marion County.

Funeral services for Mr. Osbourn will be held at St. Rose at 10 o'clock Friday morning, interment following the rites in St. Rose Cemetery.
