Richard married Sarah Curtis, daughter of Thomas Curtis and Averilla Unknown, on 11 Feb 1673 in Virginia. Sarah, William Halfhide’s widow, was born on 16 Aug 1657 in Ware Parish, Gloucester Co., Virginia and died on 26 Dec 1693 in Virginia at age 36.

24 February 1650: Son Richard Perrot, Jr. is born, "Being he first Man Child that was gott and borne in Rappahannock river, of English parents. It is known that Sarah Dale was his mother, as Richard Jr. was mentioned as being a brother of Thomas Dale in 1660. Richard Jr. was Richard Sr.'s only biological son, and all of of Richard Sr.'s living descendants are descended from Richard Jr.

- 24 February 1650: Becomes 'the first Man Child that was gott and born in Rappahannock River of English parents'
- 1666: Richard Jr. and his father are returned from England
- 3 February 1667: Witness to the will of John Edward.
- 24 February 1672: Comes of age at 21. Comes into possession of the 800 acres he inherited from his half-brother Thomas Dale at age 9
- 11 November 1672: Marries Sarah (Curtis) Halfhead, receiving additional land from his father beforehand
- 1 October 1673: Patents land in Worcester county Maryland (=Delaware), where his father had sent him to secure a land patent
- 1673: Named to the county court, then appointed to the vestry
- 1678: Forfeited all personal property, servants and cattle rather than pay a bill of £112 sterling
- 1678: Sued by John Shepherd, minister, for salary Richard had collected in his role as sheriff, but had not passed on.
- 1684: Defaulted on a bill, lost most of his land to Robert Beverly
- - Never got to sit with his fellow justices in court again
- - Stopped appearing at vestry meetings
- - Stopped getting called upon for public works, until later in his life
- 1686: Father, Richard Sr., leaves Richard Jr. out of his will
- 1694: Death. On January 7, 1694/5, the court ordered that his son Henry be paid for funeral charges (Middlesex Order Book 3, 1694-1705 p. 8).
