,30th VA Inf, Co D, Enlisted April 1861, Wounded at Sharpsburg.Shot in head, exited via neck- also minor wound in legPage 400b of 1850 Census"28 year old farmer in Spotsylvania Co. enlisted 4/26/61 in Co.D Absent sick, Sept-Oct 1861, WIA in neck at Sharpsburg,9/17/62; returned to duty in March 1863. Pritchett was admittedto Chimborazo Hospital on 5/16/64 and on 5/23/64 and wastransfered to hospital at Danville. Although no wound wasmentioned on the Richmond records, at Danville his complaint wasrrecorded as gunshot wound; apparently Pritchett had beenwounded at Drewry's Bluff. Present with Co. D in late Sept1864. Parolled at Ashland, 4/26/65. Pritchett drew a pensionin Spotsylvania Co. in 1914."
