I'm wondering if anyone else's Timberlake ancestors were Native American. Our line of Timberlakes came from Bourbon and Nicholas County in Kentucky. Early to mid 1800's. Descendents of Richard Timberlake and Mary Munden...their daughter was named Nancy P. Timberlake and she married Robert Trimble...their son was named Henry Timberlake Trimble b.1805 d.1858 in Nicholas County. He was married to Nancy S. Wyatt and they had a daughter named Nancy Arnold Timberlake Trimble....Any info would be appreciated...especially interested in which Native American tribe they might have come from.

The late John Duncan did a great deal of research on the family of this Richard Timberlake.I have a 24-page manuscript simply entitled "Timberlake Tales #5, Part 2," in which John set forth his views. He concluded that Richard was the son of Henry Timberlake of Hanover County, Virginia, who, in turn, was the son of the "original" Francis Timberlake of Middlesex County, Virginia.John also believed that this Richard was a brother to Henry Timberlake, author of The Memoirs of Lieutenant Henry Timberlake (London:1765).If so, Lieutenant Henry Timberlake was actually, Henry, Jr.None of these persons was Native American.
This Richard Timberlake married, first, Mary (Ann?) Smith and, second, Mrs. Mary (Munden)(Smith). There are suggestions to the effect that a child of Richard and Mary (Munden)(Smith) Timberlake, namely, Nancy Timberlake, married a Native American. ....
