In 1850, with the surname spelled "Tooker", the family is found in Say Brook, CT and listed as Richard 42 a ships carpenter, Esther 39, Richard S. 17 a mariner, and Lucretia M 12, all born CT. They were living next door to the family of Charles and Eliza Post both 22 and probably relatives of Esther (1850; Census Place: Saybrook, Middlesex, Connecticut; Roll: M432_44; Page: 235A; Image: 158).
In the 1870 census Burdett, Farmer and Lucretia M, both 32, are found still in Suffield, Hartford Co, CT, with Esther E 9, Grace 7, and Cordelia F 5. Also in the household were Esther Tucker 59 house keeper, and Richard Tucker 62 Carpenter, both b CT (1870; Census Place: Suffield, Hartford, Connecticut; Roll: M593_104; Page: 333A; Image: 287; Family History Library Film: 545603).
In 1880 Richard Tucker 71 joiner, and Esther 68, both b CT and their parents b CT, were living in Hartford (1880; Census Place: Hartford, Hartford, Connecticut; Roll: 97; Family History Film: 1254097; Page: 49D; Enumeration District: 003; Image: 0342).
There is a record of the death of a Richard Tucker b 18 Oct 1808 who died on 25 Sep 1898 in CT and was buried in the Prospect Hill Cemetery.
