About Richard Ward
Richard is born to William Ward and Elizabeth Hall, 1635, in London England. Richard immigrated to the Massachusetts Bay colony, in about the spring 1638, with his father, mother, two brothers, John and Obadiah, and 2 sisters Joanna and Deborah.
1638, the Ward's settle in the new town of Sudbury, Massachusetts where Richard is a life long resident.
Sep 1661, Richard marries Mary Moores of Sudbury, Massachusetts and they bore two children, Obadiah and Lydia.
Mar 1666, Richard drowns in the Sudbury River. Widow Mary and Richard's father, William Ward, were appointed guardians of the two minor children. Richard is buried in Sudbury, Massachusetts.
Nov 1667, Mary marries Danial Stone and has eight children with him.

He was born in England about 1635, was brought to the Massachusetts Bay colony by his father, Rev. William Ward, an his 2nd wife Elizabeth, (see Newton Massachusetts Births)in 1638 , died March 31, 1666 by drowning in the Sudbury River. He married September 8, 1661 in Sudbury, Mass. Mary Moores, Daughter of John and Elizabeth Moores. She died June 10, 1703. His widow and William Ward were appointed guardians of the children during their minority. She married Deacon DAniel Stone of Sudbury and bore him eight children.- William Ward Genealogy Book pg 68
