Thomas Williamson of Henrico County for love and affection to his son Richard Williamson, land on north side of James River on main Chickahominy Swamp, below Indian Cabin branch, near Terapin branch, 425 acres. Witnessed by John Redford and Joel Walker. Signed Thomas (TW) Williamson on August 1, 1728. [1]

This may be the same Richard Williamson who received a VA land patent for 400 acres in Goochland, North side Appamattox River and East side old Lickinghole branch adj. Philip Thomas. 23 Mar 1734. PB 15, p.182

He left his will dated 25 Mar 1771, proved 2 Apr 1774 in Henrico Co.

Bounded on NW by Richard Williamson, W by Richard Adams, S by John Hobson and E by the other part of the tract whereon sd John Holmes now lives. Signed: John (x) Holmes. Rec. 4 Feb 1771.

The will 1771 mentions: son Thomas 400 acres in Cumberland, then to grandson Richard McCaul; daughter Agnes McCaul; grandson John Speirs, grandaughter Susannah Price, grandaughter Elizabeth Hillard, daughters Lucy Ross, Mary Stone, Ann Netherland, Elizabeth Speirs, Sarah Lewis; friend Joseph Lewis of Henrico Co., Daniel Price, and my son in law Robert Speirs Recorded Apr 2, 1771. Richard Williamson was a major land owner, bequeathing 1220 acres in Henrico and Cumberland Co., Virginia in his will.
