Rinda Abraham (1953 - 2008)
Brief overview:
Rinda (55), the principal of the Kleutermaatjies school in Centurion, was shot dead in her home in Aquila Street, Waterkloof, Pretoria, on 26th January 2008. She went to check on her dog, when three armed males entered her home through an open sliding door and fired a shot at the family dog. Rinda was shot once in the heart.

- Rinda's son, Christoffel, testified during the trial that one of the robbers, whom he identified as Nyone, had shot his mother and then ran from the house with his two accomplices.
- In July 2011, at the Pretoria High Court, Judge Nomonde Mngqibisa-Thusi sentenced Dennis Gentil Nyone (39), a Mozambican, to 18 years imprisonment, for breaking into Rinda's home and murdering her.
- She also sentenced Nyone to six years’ imprisonment for breaking into a house in Delfinius Street in Waterkloof Ridge and stealing a hi-fi in December 2006. The two sentences are to concurrently.
