Rita A Hagberg

Rita A. Hagberg known as “Goomie” to her grandchildren and dear friends died August 6, 2011 in her home in East Bridgewater at age 80. Rita was born in Minneapolis, MN daughter of the late Marie (Skorka) and Joseph Hruska.

Mrs. Hagberg worked many years for Prudential in their real estate and insurance departments for over 37 years. Rita was a member of the East Bridgewater Seniors Club and played Bingo every Tuesday at the West Bridgewater Seniors Club. She was an avid bowler in her younger years.

Wife of the late Russell W. Hagberg. Mother of Carol and her husband John Joy, Jr of East Bridgewater. Step Mother of the late Marilyn Snow and Lois Anderson. Grandmother of Kirsten, Joseph, and John III. Sister of Lucille Kupka of MN and the late Lorraine Ruppert and Joseph and Donald Hruska. Mrs. Hagberg is also survived by 14 step grandchildren in NJ.

Funeral from the Prophett-Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 98 Bedford St., Bridgewater Thursday, August 11th, 2011 at 8:00 AM. Funeral Mass in St. Johns Church East Bridgewater at 9:00 AM.

Calling hours Wednesday 5-8 PM.

Memorial Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society 5 Manley Street W. Bridgewater, MA. Burial in St. James Cemetery Whitman.
