The marriage record reads as follows: "August 9th 1729, The said day Robert Baird laull son to John Baird weaver in Plean & Jean Scobie laull daughter to James Scobie tenent in Throsck both in this parosh gave up their names to be proclaimed in order to marriage Alex Scott maltman in St Ninian was caur for both parties married Sepr 17th."
