Biography

Robert Lowrey Benge was the son of John Riddle H. Benge and his wife Caroline Taky Gordon. He was born in the Cherokee Nation September 07, 1868. He appears with his family on the 1880 Cherokee census in Illinois District. [1]

He married Rebecca Elizabeth "Lizzie" Reser on Aug. 05, 1888; they had the following children: Ollie Angeline b. June 29, 1898; Elizabeth Elnora b. July 7, 1901; Adna Starr Addie b. Feb 4, 1904; & Mary Magnolia Benge b. Nov 25, 1907. [2]

Robert died November 30, 1937 in Muskogee, OK. [3]
