Mass of Christian Burial will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, January 23, 2006 at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Pearl Lake, MN for Robert Berger, age 62, who died Thursday at his home.

Friends may call from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. Sunday and from 11:00 – 1:00 p.m. Monday morning at the Holy Cross Catholic Church in Marty. The Knights of Columbus and the Pearl Lake Men’s Society will pray at 7:00 p.m. followed by Parish Prayers at 7:30 p.m.

Robert was born in Watkins, MN to Jerome and Lucille (May) Berger. He married Theresa Merten on May 14, 1966 in Holy Cross Catholic Church, Marty, MN. Robert retired from Electrolux after 39 years of service. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing horseshoes. He was a member of Holy Cross Parish, the National Guard Reserve, Knights of Columbus and Men’s Society of Pearl Lake.

Survivors include his wife, Theresa; sons, David of Marty and Dan (Shelly) of St. Cloud; grandchildren, Morgan and Chance; brothers and sisters, Patricia (Ed) Neu, Alice Neu, Kenny (Joyce) Berger and Cathy (Bob) Utecht all of Cold Spring, Helen (Al) Wessels of Richmond, Delores (Gerald) Lahr of St. Nicholas and Mary (Virgil) Kalthoff of Farming..

He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Margie Kalthoff.

The family of Robert would like to thank the staff at the Coborn Cancer Center, Dr. Umesh Chitaley, Brian Unglaub, St. Cloud Hospital Hospice and the many friends, neighbors, and family for their diligent, kind and compassionate care during Robert’s illness.
