About Robert Bernard
Robert Bernard was a farmer of the estate of Custrick Hall, in Wecky, County Essex, which he held of Sir Edward Coke, the lord chief justice.
Robert and Elizabeth had a daughter who married a Locke, and this daughter had a son who was the renowned English philosopher "John Locke, M. A." [1]
