About Robert Frederick Bayley Brown, Soldier WW1

Born in 1867, Robert was the youngest son of Henry Johns Brown and Caroline Penelope Browning.
He enlisted with the AIF at the age of 47 in December of 1914.
His regimental no was: 1465.
At the time of enlistment, Robert was working as a draper and was a widower.
He enlisted with the 15th Battalion, 3rd Reinforcement.
His unit embarked from Brisbane on board HMAT Seang Choon in February of 1915.
He disembarked in Egypt where he was put on light duties.
Robert returned home to Australia in April of 1916 suffering from rheumatism.
