Known to younger family as Uncle Bob, he had a farm on the slopes above Hoopers Inlet and leased another couple of blocks nearby. He was always an avid photorapher and took most of the pictures that make up the Clark family collection. He exhibited some of his work which has been featured in several Otago Daily Times articles about the the period of 1900 - 1915 around the Otago Harbour area where he lived and worked. He was mauled by a bull while seperating some cows on his farm in 1940 and later died of internal injuries. Survived by at least one of his children to this date.
