Unfortunately, Robert Culpepper, Jr., only mentioned his wife Dorcas in his will. So the names of his children, for the most part, are based on early Norfolk County tithable records. Each son, as he reached age 16, was mentioned at least for a year or two in his father's household in these tithable records, which have been published. The son William, is known only through the will of his brother, Daniel. DNA testing has now confirmed that William, James and Joseph are all sons of Robert Jr.
