About Robert Dearing

This Robert appears to not be the son of Sir Edward Dering, 2nd Baronet Dering, by Mary Harvey. He is not mentioned in Wikipedia's article for Sir Edward, on Stirnet's "Dering2" page (membership required to view without interruption), in The Peerage's record for Sir Edward, or in The Peerage's record for Mary. Furthermore, it is unlikely that Mary gave birth to him when she was about 46 years old.

Surname has also been reported to be Deering.

Given name might be Robert J. It has also been reported to be Edward.

Date and place of birth have also been (erroneously?) reported to be:

  • 1675 in Orange County, Virginia
  • 1700 in St. George Parish, Virginia

Place of death appears to be Orange County, Virginia. Date and place of death have also been (erroneously?) reported to be:

  • 1756 in Orange, Orange County, Virginia
  • an unspecified date at St.Thomas, Orange County, Virginia

Date of burial has been erroneously reported to be 1756.
