Robert Fergusson of Craigdarroch, here treated, is the son and heir of John Fergusson, 8th Laird of Craigdarroch He is noticed on 3 February 1601, during his father's lifetime, as Robert Fergusson, younger of Craigdarroch, NRS: GD77/173 and on 3 December 1610, as Robert Fergusson, apparent of Craigdarroch. NRS: GD39/1/156

Death

A date and place of death has not been identified for Robert Fergusson of Craigdarroch, here treated. He was alive on 5 September 1612, the date upon which he took possession, as his deceased father's son and heir, of various lands in the barony of Glencairn, NRS: GD77/114 but he died before 23 February 1613, when his own son and heir had a precept of clare constat for the same lands.
