According to Mark, a manager: The connection is real but Thomas's birthdate is much earlier, and his father's death date must be later. Robert Gold, his wife, and Thomas his son and heir are all mentioned in a deed in 1436. I suppose someone must have read "deed 1436" as "died 1436".
