About Robert Jefferson Harris
- Birth registration: https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:2N79-4S8
- Christening (prob St Michael in the Hamlet) at Toxteth Park: https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:NJGW-TMN
- Marriage record 1 (1890, Stamford, Lincs, age 42, spouse age 24): https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:NF4R-4Y9 - mentions both spouses' fathers' names.
- Marriage record 2: https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:2DF4-XSS - Jul-Sep 1890, John William Wade also listed.
- Both children born at Lymington, Hants. - 1894 & 1895.
- 1903 Electoral Roll, City of London: https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:QJNS-WF65 (This was also before women were allowed to vote, of course.) The records suggest that he owned a tenement
- Therafter, also in FamilySearch, appears on several electoral rolls for both City of London and Hackney (North London), until 1912. 1909 record gives address as 21 Alexandra Road, Finsbury Park. "England, London Electoral Registers, 1847-1913," database with images, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.3.1/TH-1971-41130-2853-61?cc=2228170 : accessed 12 February 2016), City of London > Register of Electors 1909 > image 1011 of 1187; London Metropolitan Archives, London. - This would be the address now known as 21 Alexandra Road, South Tottenham, London N15. (This was also the home address at which son Lancelot was registered at Sidney Sussex College in Cambridge) It also looks as if he owned a tenement at "2 Crescent", which appeared to have been in Minories (now in London EC3, near Aldgate station: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Minories - Crescent and tenements long gone).
- 1911 Census, in what was then called Finsbury Park, district of Stoke Newington as head of household, aged 62: https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:XWG7-Z3F - 21 Alexandra Road, Finsbury Park. (See wife's profile and attached doc. for more info.)
- Lived at "Sunnyside," De La Warr Rd., Bexhill-on-Sea by the time of the death of son Lancelot in WW1 in April 1915. However both he and Maud remain on the electoral roll for Alexandra Road until at least 1919.
- Death at Battle, East Sussex, aged 77, Oct-Dec 1925 (confirms Christmas Day death on handwritten family tree record - although place is not recorded there): https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:QVHC-8YH9
