Robert Hay

The Peerage

Robert Hay was born on 6 January 1799.1 He was the son of Robert Hay and Janet Erskine.1 He married Kalitza Psaraki, daughter of Captain Alexandros Psaraki, in 1828.1 He died on 4 November 1863 at age 64.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.).1 He was an Eastern traveller and Egyptologist.1 He wrote the book Hay's Illustrations of Cairo.1 He lived at Nunraw, Scotland.1 He lived at Linplum, Scotland.1

The crest is the crest of the Hay's of Linplum Castle that he shared with his brother James.
