About Robert Emil Kaukonen
Mr. Robert Emil Kaukonen, age 75 years, resident of Thunder Bay, passed away peacefully at TBRHSC on December 9, 2017 with his daughters by his side. Born on June 24, 1942 in Nolalu, ON, he was raised and educated in Thunder Bay and attended Selkirk High School. He was employed as a Pipefitter with Great Lakes Paper Mill and retired in 1997 after 35 years of service. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, spending time with family and was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose. Robert is survived by his daughters Shelley (Nelson), Sherry (Mark), grandchildren Ashley, Keira, Sage, Bryce and great grandchildren Jacob and Ajax. He was predeceased by his wife Lorraine and daughter Cynthia. Per Robert's wishes, no service will be held. A private interment will be held at a later date in Riverside Cemetery. The family would like to sincerely thank the angels at Bethammi for their love and support of our father.
