Robert D. Lasher, 61, of 927 High Ave., SW, died Saturday, at 12:30 p.m. in Aultman Hospital, after an extended illness. Born in Leechburg, Pa. he lived in Canton 40 years, coming here from Kittanning, Pa. He was a Millright operator for the Timken Roller bearing Co. for 35 years, having retired in 1958 because of ill health. A World War I veteran Mr. Lasher attended the First Church of Christ Scientist, and was a member of the Timken Old Guard Club. His survivors include his widow Ruth C. of the home; four sisters, Mrs. Paul Amick, of Los Angels, Calif., Mrs. Roscoe Wolfe of East Palestine, Ohio, Mrs. Mable Hutchison of Orrstown, Pa. and Mrs Victor Bagnuolo of N.Y. City, and two brothers, Theodore of Union City Pa. and Roy of Kittanning Pa. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Spiker Funeral Home with Fred C. Lowber, First Reader of the Fist Church of Christ Scientist, officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. Visitors will be received at the parlors Monday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Robert D. Lasher, 61, of Canton, Ohio, formerly of Kittanning, died at 12:10 p.m. Saturday, (Nov. 19, 1960) at Aultman Hospital, Canton, Ohio following a lingering illness. Mr. Lasher was a son of the Late A.F. and Mary Lasher. He was a long-time employee of Timken Roller bearing Co. He was a member of the 14-17 Club and attended the functions of the club until his illness. Surviving are his wife Ruth C. of Canton,Ohio; and the following brothers and sisters, Mrs. Sara Amick, Los Angeles, Calif., Mrs. Myrtle Wolfe, East Palestine, Ohio, Mrs. Mable Hutchison, Orrstown, Pa, Mrs Dorothy Bagnuolo of New York City, Theodore of Union City and A. Roy Lasher of Kittanning. A number of nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday. at Spiker Funeral Home, Canton, Ohio.

WEDDED AT CANTON Robert D. Lasher, of Canton. O., son of Mrs. A. F. Lasher, of Orr Avenue, and Miss Ruth Werker, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Werker, also of Canton, were united in marriage Saturday, May 31, at high noon at the home of the bride. After the ceremony the couple left for a short motor trip to Cleveland. The bride is a bookkeeper for the Hoover Cleaner Company in Canton while the groom holds a position with the Timken Roller Bearing Company.
