BIOGRAPHY Son of Lodewijk Hendrik Schenkenberg van Mierop and Johanna Louisa Thies, Robert Lodewijk was born 6 January 1942 in Soerabaja, Dutch East Indies. After World War Two he was in The Netherlands and with his Dutch wife, Yvonne, he moved to Sweden. He became a graduate architect of the Swedish Institute of Technology (KTH). Previously partner in AOS Arkitektkontor AB and then in van Mierop & Belaieff Arkitektkontor AB, where amongst other things, he was chief architect in planning of Sky City at Arlanda airport, following victory of his proposed idea in an architectural competition. He currently runs his own enterprise besides teaching at the Royal Institute (KTH).
