"Mack" Gallaher was the second child and first son of James Joseph Gallaher(1872-1952)and Rachel M. McMurry (1870-1955) and the husband of Hazel Nellie Kirby. They had two children, the first a son (1924-1924)who died shortly after birth and Hazel Jeanne Gallaher Coffman (1929-1983). Mack was a veteran of WWI and served in the famous Rainbow Division under Douglas McArthur. Mack distinguished himself not only as a motorcycle dispatch rider but as the halfback on the Rainbow Division's football team.
