About Robert Clyde Mason
Robert Clyde Mason (known as Clyde among his friends at Pawling) took over the firm of S. Mason and Son following his father's death. Served for many years as president of the Board of Education for District No. 5, Town of Pawling and also on the Volunteer Fire Department, of which his father was a founding member- Clyde Mason was Fire Chief for a period, as well. Elected President (now Mayor) of the Village of Pawling in 1925. He and his wife, Blanche Alice Slocum Mason, had the following children:
