ROBERT MCCRAY
Robert McCray was probably born about 1745. He allegedly served in
the British Navy before coming to America. He served the Colonies in
the American Revolution.
Robert married Elizabeth Simms in Augusta County VA about 1778.

Family stories has it he served with James McCauley in Queen Rangers and in revolutionary war on patriot side with James. More research needed but Queen Rangers does have McCray listed under different spelling. He also found in Canada near James land.
